Tanja Georgieva-Waldhauer about her nomination: “I am very happy to be part of this year’s edition of Producers on the Move. Not only is it an honor for me as a producer but I believe it is especially important in times like these to support European collaborations und keep them going. Even though the current situation as well as the production status’ are different in each country, we are all colleagues who are going through tough times for the film industry, but I am convinced that we shall persevere and come out stronger. I am very much looking forward to exchanging ideas with my European producer colleagues.”
The PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE platform provides its participants with a tailor-made program to support the exchange of experiences between European producers, giving them an opportunity to establish new networks, and thus facilitate international co-productions. EFP’s networking program will take place as originally planned from 11 to 15 May 2020, and independently of the Cannes Film Festival which has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The producers will meet online this year and present their projects in speed meetings and roundtable sessions. A case study as well as talks with experts will round out the digital program running over five days.
PRODUCERS ON THE MOVE is supported by the Creative Europe – MEDIA Program of the European Union as well as the EFP member organizations, including German Films.
