German Films received twelve film submissions for the 96th Oscar® Competition in the category "Best International Feature Film"
The selection of the German entry for the 96th Oscar® Competition in the category "Best International Feature Film" will take place with an independent jury of experts on August 22 and 23, 2023 in Munich.
The following twelve German films were submitted to German Films by German producers:
The German Oscar® selection committee will be announced in the next few days on the German Films homepage.
The 15-title "shortlist" of films submitted from the various countries for „Best International Feature Film“ will be announced on December 21, 2023.
The five nominated titles that will ultimately enter the race will be released on January 23, 2024.
The Academy Awards® ceremony will take place on March 10, 2024.
